We have used 3411 both A.I. and naturally over the last three years which has provided us with 195 progeny to determine his genetic merit to our program. He is a bull that is always fat whether it be the middle of breeding season or winter. His daughters are moderate young cows and heifers that have nice udders and are easy fleshing like their sire. He also transfers some top carcass traits to his offspring that will enhance the value to the feeder calves when they are hung on the rail. Every one of his sons qualify for the Top Dollar Angus program.
We continue to use Ridge Admiral in our AI sire lineup because of how his progeny perform in our environment. The bulls have been well received by our commercial as well as registered customers and the oldest females are now 10 years old and bringing in good calves while functioning very well in our environment. We offered the last large group of natural born sons in 2025. We are down to a limited supply of semen and will be using Admiral selectively on certain cows and in our ET program. While this bull does well on all the indices,when you study the numbers, his growth EPDs are not what some people would say are ideal, yet it is where we like them to be for the female to fit our environment. We own this sire with Sandbur Ridge Red Angus.
